Yoko & Tate Seishan Dachi

the application of naihanchi dachi

When you advance only slightly, you end up in Seishan Dachi.

But here's the thing:

How far should your foot advance to get into Yoko Seishan Dachi?

It depends on your level and ability to feel the answer. And that's difficult.

That's why we have fixed and flexible lines for Seishan Dachi that change with you as you progress your stance and skill through training.

Another thing is the knee position — it must be neutral.

In fact, the knee position in Shotokan and Wado prove the styles are opposites (and why and what you have to do).
